Terena Lynn Hipps

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Terena Lynn Hipps, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us on June 15, 2024, at the age of 57.

Born on July 25, 1966, in Flint MI, to Mack Lawson and Juanita Roberts, but resided in Sevierville, TN.

Terena is survived by her husband of 38 years Rick Hipps, Daughters and Sons, Stefni (Scottie) Phillips, Crystal (Matthew) Swinea, Amber Messer, Ricky Hipps, Pamela Hipps.

Stepchildren, Jeremy (Amanda) Hipps, and Melissa Hipps. Grandchildren, Cheyenne Phillips, Colton Swinea, Camden Swinea, Paisley Swinea, Mia Messer, Max Messer. Her brothers Kenneth Lawson, Doyle (Angie) Lawson, Jerry Lawson. Her Stepfather, Jerry Lee Roberts Sr., and stepbrother Jerry Lee Roberts II. She was preceded in death by her Dad, Mack Lawson and her Mother Juanita Roberts.

She was loved by so many; she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world.

"When someone you love dies, and you're not expecting it, you don't lose her all at once; you lose her in pieces over a long time - the way the mail stops coming, and her scent fades from the pillows and even from the clothes in her closet and drawers. Gradually, you accumulate the parts of her that are gone. Just when the day comes - when there's a particular missing part that overwhelms you with the feeling that she's gone, forever - there comes another day, and another specifically missing part."
