Ricky Allen Curtiss ( paw paw), a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on July 21st 2024, in Sevierville Tennessee. He was born September 12th 1957 in Eaton Rapids, Michigan to Loren and Olive Curtiss. He married the love of his life Ruth Ann Curtiss, and together they raised a beautiful family. His children, Tammy Rae, Lisa Ann, Russell Eugene, Cristy Lou were the light of his life. As a professional truck driver, Rick traveled far and wide, but always made sure to be home for special moments with his family. His dedication to providing knew no bounds. His passion for fishing brought him joy. He often spent weekends at the lake, teaching his grandchildren to fish. The aroma of BBQ smoke in the air would signal Rick was at work creating delicious meals for everyone to enjoy. Rick also had a green thumb that allowed him to grow fresh vegetables from his garden that he proudly shared with family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Olive Curtiss, sister Lorna Graham, daughter Tammy Rae, and loyal pet Riley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Ruth Ann Curtiss. His devoted children Lisa Ann, Russell Eugene - Cindy, Cristy Lou - Sal. His sister Beverly Smothers. In addition he leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 5 nieces and nephews. The memory of Rick will forever live in our hearts as we remember him for the remarkable man he was. He will be deeply missed by all. Family and friends will hold a celebration of life September 14 2024.
