Michael Alexander Quandt

Michael Alexander Quandt, a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, was taken from us too soon. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Michael had a love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing—passions he learned from his father and carried with him throughout his life. He found peace in the Tennessee mountains and rivers, where he spent countless hours.

He is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Janice Quandt; his four children, including Destiney Carter; and his two grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Jason Quandt (April); his sisters, Melissa Valentino (Dennis) and Sarah Cararo (Michael); his grandmother; and his lifelong partner, Kristy Ziegler. Michael will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michael had a wild spirit and a big heart. As an organ donor, he was able to help three people after his passing, leaving behind a lasting legacy.

Though his time with us was far too short, Michael’s love and laughter will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, forever watching over them.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date, when family and friends can come together to honor his memory.
