Mark Douglas Edwards, age 65, of Sevierville, TN passed away peacefully on Sunday morning October 19th, 2025. He had suffered poor health for the last year, but did not want his health to define who he was in life. He lived most of his life in Fort Walton Beach, FL but moved to Tennessee in 2023 to live with his Sister and Brother-in-Law. Mark was born in Montgomery, AL, and was the son of Willie G. and Frances A. Edwards. Mark was a naturally fun-loving-at-heart person and never missed an opportunity to plan an office (themed) party to celebrate someone’s birthday, a holiday, or an office accomplishment. He was the clown of the office, even winning an award as ‘Happy Camper’. His career was in Customer Service for the Government, and also worked for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Larry Dewayne.
Mark loved tattoos but music was his first love! When we were younger Mark took off with Steve’s drum set (without permission) so he could ‘jam’ with his friends. There are so many special memories of Mark because to know him was to laugh with him. We will miss him immensely (of course), but now he can be at rest (or maybe jamming in Heaven)! We LOVE you, Mark.
He is survived by his sister Patricia Diane Cooper (Gary), brother Steven Glenn (Julie), his ex-wife Deanna, his beloved stepchildren Mercedes and Bentley, niece Shari Renee Simpson, and nephew Jonathan Michael Simpson,
Mark was cremated at Circle of Life Cremation LLC and the family is planning a private burial in Fort Walton Beach, FL at a later date.
Mark's obituary was submitted by his loving family.
