Louise Josephson

Louise Josephson, age 78,passed away on August31, 2024, in Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents JoAnn O’Dell Josephson and Leonard Melvin Josephson. Louise graduated from Bearden High School in 1964. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. Louise served as pastor of John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Henrietta, NY from June 1994 until her retirement in August 2012. She was an active member of P.E.O. International having chartered a chapter, served as chapter President, served as a delegate to the International Convention, and co-chaired two Tennessee State Conventions. She was a talented artist and a member of the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild as a producing craftswoman. Upon her retirement, Louise returned to Knoxville where she was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her brother Jon Baard Josephson and his wife Elizabeth. A service will be held in the courtyard of Second Presbyterian Church Saturday, September 14th at 10:30.
