Joyce Ann Sanwick, 69, passed away on October 15, 2024, in Sevierville, TN., with her family by her side. Born on November 19, 1954, Joyce was a beacon of love and commitment, not only to her family but also to everyone she encountered. Joyce's personality illuminated the lives of those around her. Known for being loving, caring, and fun to be around, she also demonstrated an admirable work ethic in every aspect of her life. Before her passing, Joyce was employed by Holiday Inn Club Vacations as a Dispatch Coordinator, where she played a crucial role in operations. Her colleagues deeply admired and respected her, often noting how her presence significantly brightened their workplace. In her personal life, Joyce cherished moments spent with family and friends. Her hobbies included various arts and crafts, which she enjoyed as a way to express her creative spirit and share joyful moments with her loved ones. Joyce is survived by her children, Bruce A. Sanwick and Melissa Church (Victor); brothers, David (Barbra) Gardner, Andy Upton, Mike Upton, and Billy Upton; sisters, Janet (David) Taapken and Patty Pelo; and five grandchildren, Ryan (Sadie) Church, Alexis Sanwick, Andrew Licari, Aiden Sanwick, and Amiah Sanwick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Andrew Upton, and her sisters, Donna Antonacci and Tina Keaton.
In accordance with Joyce's wishes, no formal ceremony will be held, however the family will be having a celebration of life in Sevierville Tn. Contact family for details. Her life was a testament to love and connection, traits that will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
