Jack Dempsey Troupe, Sr.

Jack Dempsey Troupe, Sr., age 90, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, TN. Jack was born in Edgerton, KS., to Milton and Edna Ferris Troupe. Jack was the General Manager of Culligan Water USA and worked for Culligan Water from 1951 until his retirement in 2023. Jack loved Major League Baseball but his favorite team was the LA Dodgers. You could always find him anywhere early and he was always at the games before the Dodgers even hit the field to practice. He loved baseball, as he played it, coached it, and umpired it. He taught his son to play baseball at a very young age. Jack married his high school sweetheart  Joyce Marie Troupe in 1951 and they were married for 59 years until she passed away in January, 2010.  In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Jack is survived by his daughters Jill Jones, Neena Schumacher, and son Jack Troupe, Jr., grandchildren Trey Troupe, Cole Troupe, Lane Schumacher, and Nicholas Jones, great-grandchildren Isabella Simone Troupe, McKenzie  Schumacher, Everett Schumacher, and Neyland Jones, as well as many friends and family.

Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 7719 River Road, Townsend, TN. 37882. The family will receive friends on Thursday May 23, 2024, from 9:30 until 11:00 AM.  Mass will begin at 11:00AM.
