Jack Lee Elphick

Jack Lee Elphick, age 84, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, TN. Jack was born on January 30, 1940 in York, PA to Henry and Pauline (Myers) Elphick. He had moved from PA to CA, then to SC, and eventually to TN. Jack was a truck driver and had retired from Fleming Foods. His wife, Linda Marie (Howard) Elphick, passed away 21 years ago to the day, on January 8, 2004 at the age of 56. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, a sister, and a great-granddaughter.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Melissa Bailey (Gerry) of PA, his son, Brian Elphick of SC, and his daughter-in-law, Tracy Elphick of TN, as well as 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a great-grandchild on the way, as well as many other family members and friends.

He loved sports (except basketball!), but specifically baseball, football and NASCAR. He enjoyed RV travel, car shows, bluegrass festivals, flea markets and yard sales, and the local farmer’s markets when visiting in PA.

There will be a gathering of friends at the home of Tracy Elphick on January 30, and a Celebration of Life service at the convenience of the family in PA at a later date.
