Dwayne Eugene Owenby

Dwayne Eugene Owenby, 60 years old of Seymour, Tennessee, passed away on January 9, 2025. He was born in Knoxville on November 17, 1964. Dwayne was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who lived life to the fullest. He was known for his big heart, his infectious sense of humor, and his genuine kindness to everyone he met.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Grace Owenby. He is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Arnett; children, Brittany, Robin, and Samantha; his stepmother, Jeanette Owenby; his siblings, Jeff and Tina; his cherished grandchildren, Desiree, Alex, Olivia, Payton, & Quinley; and other relatives, Carla Armstrong, Fred Armstrong, Emma Noles, Jordan Noles, and Lela Patrick. He loved his family more than anything.

A lover of music, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blake Shelton, Dwayne had a deep passion for the outdoors and enjoyed telling stories and jokes that kept those around him laughing. He never met a stranger, he had friends everywhere and his generosity knew no bounds. A simple man at heart, Dwayne was always there for those he loved, ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.

He was the best husband, father, and grandfather anyone could ask for, and his presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Dwayne now joins the stars, free as a bird, and leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and laughter.
