Donna Bright Obituary

Donna Lea Bright, age 81, of Loudon, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born on November 29, 1942, in West Liberty, Kentucky, Donna lived a full and loving life centered around her family, creativity, and warm hospitality.

Donna is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Kenneth "Kenny" Bright, whom she married on January 20, 1963. Together, they built a life of love, raising their children: Brent Bright (wife, Stacie), Marcy Burnett (husband, Adam), and Brandon Bright. She was a proud grandmother to Ashley Woodcock (husband, Cameron), Anna Klein (husband, Joe), Emma Caroline, Connor, and Braydon Burnett, as well as a great-grandmother to Connor and Shea Woodcock, and Cole Klein.

Donna shared a close and special bond with her sister, Betty Rose, who survives her and was a source of love and support throughout her life.

Preceding her in death were her beloved daughter, Tammy Bright, and her brother, Frank Adkins.

Donna considered her marriage, children, and grandchildren to be her greatest joys and achievements. She was a gifted artist and a fantastic cook, famous for her biscuits and gravy, as well as her peanut butter and chocolate fudge. Her creativity and kindness touched everyone around her, leaving behind countless fond memories.

A private family gathering was held to celebrate Donna's life, honoring her request for an intimate remembrance.
