Dolores Stevens Obituary

On July 27th at 4:57 Dolores Ruth Stevens went to be with the Lord. Dolores was born in Salem, New Jersey.  Dee, otherwise known as Deestroyer was a unique, loving, hilarious, extravagant, strong and brave woman. Most anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Dee says that she is the least judgmental person that they know. She touched and impacted everyone's life she knew and was a very inspirational figure. She loved baking cookies, cooking, gardening and crafting. She enjoyed food and sweets including pies and cookies. She liked her coffee hot, black, and strong (like her men). She loves her classic rock music, puzzles, mushrooms thrift store shopping, the beach, and also making a lot of crude jokes. She's been extremely adventurous her whole life and had many crazy memories that she shared with few individuals who didn't actually irritate her to the point of elevating her blood pressure even more. She loved her family more than life itself, and always put them before herself at most times. Dee had an extreme work ethic. On top of being United States Postal Carrier for over two decades, and doing volunteer work for her community, as well as taking in strays. Dee raised two unruly children, whom she is survived by Glenn and Elka. She could be seen with her two bumper stickers including one that read "Destined to be an Old Woman with no Regrets" and "Obama/Biden". She is know as Granny Dee to her surviving grandchildren Brandon, Ilynn, Eric, Alexa, and Ava. Although reluctant to having cats her whole life because she thought they would eat her eyes after she passed, she decided to care for her babies Titty and Smoky. She was the care taker of her father Thomas Jingeleski and his wife for years, before completing her dream of moving to Tennessee; which included having land with a greenhouse and creating herbal tinctures in her final days of battling lung cancer. The world will never be quite the same without Dee.

Dee's obituary was submitted by her loving family.
