Debra Cooper Obituary

Debra Lynn Cooper, born in LaFollette, Tennessee, age 66, of Clinton, Tennessee passed away at Norris Health and Rehabilitation Facility on Friday, February 21st, 2025.

Debra spent her life working hard as a single mother to provide for her family and five children. Like her beloved rose bushes, the family Debra has created reflects the love and beauty she has projected in her life. The legacy of hard work and loyalty to her family will live on in both her children and grandchildren, blessing every generation to come after.

Amongst the many special relationships in Debra’s life, there is one that deserves the most attention. Since they were children, Debra and her brother, Tommy Cooper have been very close. They spent the majority of their lives together, tackling life as a team and family. One day, they will tackle heaven together, bringing peace to their family that their loss means Debra and her brother with be reunited as they should be.

Debra was preceded in death by her loving parents, Cora Phillips Cooper and Oscar Cooper. She is also preceded by her siblings, Roger Cooper, Sharon Cooper, Benjamin Cooper, and Josie Cooper Hightower; her cherished daughters, Jerrie Lynne Hawkins and Ada Cooper; and her precious granddaughter, Rayne Elizabeth Cooper.

Debra is survived by her siblings, Tommy Cooper and Shirley Martin; her children, Sherman Cooper, Corrina Cooper, and Joseph Cooper. She was a proud grandmother to Cody Cooper, Danielle Cooper, Kimberlie Cooper Stewart, Jerrie Taylor III, Logan Sexton, Blake Cooper, Chandler Cooper, Shianne Taylor, Lukas Byrge, and Levi Byrge. Debra was also blessed with several nieces and nephews, along with seven great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Debra's life was a testament to love, dedication, and perseverance. She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come. We will forever cherish the moments we shared with her and hold her close in our hearts.

Rest in peace, dear Debra. Your spirit will live on in the love and memories of your family.
