Dawna Elaine Keenan, age 62, of Greenback, TN, was ushered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 21st, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who always had time for others. Dawna was married to the love of her life David Keenan for over 24 years. She was a loving mother to Melissa, Tim, and Savanna. Dawna was a faithful member of Greenback Memorial Baptist Church for over 15 years. She loved to do many things in the church from playing the violin to making her personal, hand-crafted cards that encouraged so many and helped them through difficult times. Dawna helped in many roles of the church over the years including being a Sunday school teacher and staying and helping with our elderly. She worked many jobs over the years, but her favorite job was as a manager at Amvets thrift store in Knoxville where she got to be a blessing and help serve her veterans. She is preceded in death by her (parents) Willam H and Betty L Braglin, (sister) Diane Braglin, (brother) Danny Braglin, and (son) Timothy Smallwood.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years David Keenan daughter Melissa Ficken (Justin) Grandchildren Colten Ficken, and Hailey Ficken of Orlando Fl, daughter Savanna Smallwood of Greenback; siblings David Braglin (Rosa), Dixie Willis, and Dean Romine.
Dawna was an organ donor that touched many lives with her selfless donation. We would like to thank the staff at Tennessee donor services for their compassionate handling of the donation procedure.
Celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In leu of flowers the family asks to make a donation to a veteran’s organization.
