David Roy Howard

David R. Howard, age 63, of Seymour, Tennessee passed away suddenly on Thursday December 12, 2024. David was born on December 30, 1960, in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was the son of Leonard and Wanda Howard. David was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard Howard, and his brother Mark Howard.

He is survived by his sister Joyce Stone (Mike) of Sweetwater, Tennessee, sister-in-law Debbie Howard of Jamestown, Tennessee, nephews David Stone (Morgan) and children of Martin, Tennessee, Steven Stone (Kellye) and children of Jamestown, Tennessee. Also survived by nieces Kendra Allred (Jonathan) and children of Jamestown, Tennessee, and Marka Phillips (Matthew) of Grimsley, Tennessee. Also, special friends who became like family, Alice Foust and daughters, Cherokee, Thumbelina and Salsa, Shokne and Brittney Foust and their children Al-ice, Ziona, Selah, Butter Rose, Snow, Heaven and Ivy. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

David was a 1979 graduate of Alvin C. York Institute in Jamestown, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1983 with a business administration degree and in 1986 he obtained his MBA degree from the University of Tennessee.

David’s first banking position after graduation was with Southtrust Bank of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama. He continued his career working in various banks and was currently working as Senior Vice President/Chief Credit Officer at CBBC Bank in Maryville, Tennessee at the time of his passing.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Knoxville Christian Center, 818 Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville, Tennessee. Visitation will begin at 11 am Eastern and the memorial service at 12 noon with Pastor Barry Culberson presiding.
