Darlene Fay (Woods) Drysdale

Darlene Fay Drysdale, age 76, of Knoxville, TN., passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was surrounded by her family and under Amedisys hospice care. Darlene was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, and was the daughter of Charles John Woods and Fay Elizabeth Bybee Daniel. She was a big fan of all UT sports, as well as a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Darlene was also a mentor, helping children after school. In earlier years, she was a realtor/broker and owner of Drysdale Rausch Realty Company in Seymour, Tn. Darlene was a devout Catholic and attended Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Knoxville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother Allen Woods, sister Jeanette Norris, two nephews John Daniel and John Woods, and grandson Kegan Drysdale.

Darlene is survived by two sons Mike Drysdale, Rick (Kathy) Drysdale, beloved children Almon Rausch, Jr (Racheal), Charlotte Rausch Arms (Ron), and Mark Rausch, two brothers Frank Woods and Dennis Woods, one sister Margaret Daniel, 8 grandchildren  Dwayne (Wendy) Burge, Nadine (Glenn) Clifton (live-in caretakers), Janay (Shannon) Fox, JK Drysdale, Jessi Drysdale, Brittany (Shawn) Shelton, Kristen (Blaine) Wall, and Alison Rausch,  20 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many friends and co-workers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 6PM until 9PM at The Ivey House, 1726 Burnett Station Road, Seymour, TN. 37865.
