Danny Joel Wooliver

WOOLIVER, DANNY (DAN) JOEL- age 90 of Knoxville went to heaven on July 8, 2025. Preceded in death by parents George and Helen (Jinks) Wooliver, brothers George Wooliver, Joe Wooliver, and Ronnie Wooliver; sisters Barbara Tucker and Jane Khalif. Survived by wife of 68 years Joan (McGill) Wooliver, sons Colin (Teresa) Wooliver and Craig (Vicki) Wooliver, and daughter Laura Hill; grandchildren Lura (Eric Brown) Wooliver of Athens, TN, Joey (Kim Roosa) Wooliver of Baltimore, MD, Olivia (Matt) Jones of Spokane, WA, Rachel (Stuart Slattery) Wooliver of Knoxville; great-grandchildren Adrian May, Annamarie Walker, Levi Walker and Asher Jones; Brother William (Pug) Wooliver and sisters Peggy Key and Dorothy Breeden; many nieces and nephews.

Dan was a veteran of the Korean conflict and was a retired carpenter with TVA. For many years he coached and o\iciated youth basketball, baseball and softball games in the South Knoxville area and participated in the Senior Olympics.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lifecare Center of Blount County and the ICU staff of Blount Memorial Hospital for the excellent care and compassion given to Dan in his final days. A memorial service is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dan’s memory to Hillcrest Community Church, 1615 Price Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920.
