It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bertie Frances Thornton, beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, who departed this world on February 28th at the age of 60. Bertie was a beacon of love and kindness, cherished by all who knew her.
She always brought joy to those around her with her infectious smile and nurturing spirit. In her early years, she welcomed three beautiful children into the world: Virginia Trent, Ashley Purkey, and her late son, Jonathon Wayne Purkey.
As a devoted daughter, loving partner to William Donohue, and nurturing mother, Bertie embodied unconditional love. She faced life's challenges with strength and grace, always putting her family first. Bertie poured her heart into her family, providing unwavering support and a safe haven filled with warmth. As a proud grandmother to October Trent and Blaine Trent, she found immense joy in watching them grow. Her legacy of love will forever resonate within their hearts.
Bertie was more than just a mother and grandmother; she was a friend and confidante to many. Her genuine spirit brought people together, and she never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand or a compassionate ear. Her laughter and zest for life touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit will live on through her loving family and all the memories they've shared. Bertie's life was a testament to love and resilience, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she impacted.
Rest in Peace, dear Bertie. Your love is eternal, and you will forever remain in our hearts.
